Is it appropriate wearing above knee skirt with opaque tights/pantyhose to church?

  3. It depends on how conservative your church is, but in almost all cases, you should be fine. I just wouldn't go too far past mid-thigh, and as the other poster mentioned, be sure the top is appropriate as well. An appropriate top for church should have sleeves and not be too low-cut. Shirts or dresses with straps instead of sleeves are acceptable in many churches (and many bridesmaids dresses are now strapless), but if you are not sure about the particular church, it is a safe bet to keep your shoulders covered.
