Is it as easy to pick up unsecured wireless networks on a Mac as it is on a PC?

I am considering buying a basic white Macbook.

Yeah, it should be, but...don't steal other people's wireless (I'm not saying that you _are_ doing this right now).

Also, if the unsecured wireless network you're trying to connect to is yours, it would be a good idea to find out how to secure it. You don't want strangers getting into your network.

If they are unsecured it shouldn't make a difference because technically the router is your wireless network. It nothing to really to do with computers connected to it securely or otherwise.

Hacking wireless networks would be easier on a PC simply because there would be more available software tools than there would be for a Mac.
