Is it bad for a keyboard or mouse to have sun shine on it through a window?

my gues is no because there isn't really anything that can melt?

  1. Depends on how much light enters.  If using an OPTICAL mouse, the additional light may affect performance.  Also, as with all electronic equipment, keyboards and mice require a certain ambient range of temperatures to function properly.  IF you're keeping the equipment out of PROLONGED, DIRECT sunlight, you should have only the minor discoloration problems aforementioned.


  2. The only thing that will happen is that it might fade the color of the mouse or keyboard.
