  1. you shouldn't let your kids watch tv because in their older years that's all there gonna want to do.  give them a book to look at.

  2. i dont think that its bad for the baby

i bet her mom just dosent want her watching tv to become a bad habbit

  3. I think it is wrong to let your baby watch tv just to give yourself a break. My mother in law let my husband watch tv for hours straight since he was 4 months old. Needless to say that he cannot even get off thee bed without putting his glasses on. besides it does become a habit. I know that some of my friends' kids spend DAYS in front of television. They never learned how to entertain themselves. I nipped it r in the bud when i started noticing that my 4 months old daughter became interested in tv. I would just turn it off, or take her out of the room if others were watching it Now she is 8 months and she doesn't care about tv at all. she is way more intrested in exploring things around her. And i know it sounds odd, but it was proven that even hearing tv in the background slows down baby's speech development. Now i turn it on only after my baby goes to sleep

  4. it's probably not THAT bad for them but if they watch to much they might get a headache or if they sit to close its bad for their eyes. personally i would have them do something else with their time...with the things on tv these days...well it's up to you or her mom.

  5. it's been suggested that television is one the many downfalls of our society...hah! who would've thought...

  6. No it's not bad.  It doesn't kill anything.  At that age they love to watch the movement and colors and such.

  7. I don't think it is. There are many educational shows on tv for babies. As long as they have other activities, I think a little tv is fine.

  8. I don't think it kills brain cells..some people are gonna say it does, and that it makes the baby stupid...blah blah blah....as long as it is in moderation, I don't think it hurts. My 3 1/2 month old loves watching it, and I will admit I don't like him watching it, but i do let him sometimes, but no longer than 10mins.

  9. TV has not been lined to killing brain cells...... but being that I am a mother..... I a completely agree with not wanting your infants to watch TV.  My son loves the TV too.  If it is on and he is in his walker.... he will go right up next to it..... and then I will shut it off.  My personal concern about the TV is that it distracts babies from learning, trying to explore, and developing physical skills, because when my son is looking at the TV.... its all that he is interested in.  Respect  the infants mothers wishes..... she knows what is best for her baby.

  10. no they like it because of the colors, it is not bad for them though!

  12. i think tv stimulates infants. it is continous moving. i'm not a big tv person but i put a baby dvd in and the kids love it. all the parents i work for are ok with it

  13. It can cause her to have a very short attention span.  As for killing her brain cells I doubt thats true.  Its not recommended for babies to watch TV though.  It prevents them from playing and learning.  If she is going to watch it, make sure she is a good distance away from it, because watching it too closely can cause vision problems.

  14. no i used to put on baby shows and shows/ movies with babies...every once and a while for my daughter and she watches the kid shows now too. and she is still the top of all the kids in her daycare class

  15. tv is bad for grown humans to watch, because of the brain waves or something, but you would think it would be more dangerous for a baby since they are doing so much growing and it could mess up their development.

  16. NO IT DOES NOT ,YOU EVER TOLD YOU THAT IS A LIAR MY SON IS 2 MONTHS TOO AND HE WATCHS NOGGIN AND SPOURT ALL OF THE TIME,YEA THERES A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH HE CAN WATCH BUT NO IT IS NOT BAD FOR THEM

  17. The experts say that it is harmful for children under 2 to watch any tv.  Can lead to attention problems, like ADHD.

  18. once the baby is also being stimulated by her toys and playing on the floor at other times during the day I see no harm maybe a set time in the morning when you need to get some work done let her watch a kids programme like barney and youll start to see them recognise the songs but then when youve the time sit down and play to help deveop social skills
