  1. yes.  this is very bad.  your hands and wrists are full of very tiny bones that are very easily breakable.  if broken it could take a looong time to heal, and you may not fight again.  if your knuckles are bleeding, enlarged and NUMB that's even WORSE.  dont do it.  proper handwrapping and gloves are there for a reason.  they are your tools.

  2. Yes very very bad, you might not even notice but your doing horrible damage to your metacarpals in your wrists. Long term it can and probably will cause Arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

If you want shaky hands when your 40, trying to drink a beer and spilling it all over yourself then go ahead and bang away with no hand wraps.

Get proper hand wraps and learn how to wrap your hands correctly, buy some bag gloves and learn how to punch so you don't break your wrists.

If you want to toughen up your knuckles, bury a plank in the ground standing up, Loop some rope around the top of the board and punch away, it will absorbed the trauma on the wrist bones while toughing up your knuckles

  3. not to be rude but this is a dumb question,go hit a 100pound bag for 5 min then tell me if you will ever do it again

  4. You should take better care of your hands in training. In boxing your fists are your tools of use. You could possibly do some damage to your knuckles and/or your wrist. You should at least wrap your wrist and knuckles to provide some degree of support and protection, though I like to use both wraps and gloves most of the time.

  5. To answer your question, it is considered rather dumb for someone to punch the heavy bag/punching bag witout wraps and gloves barefisted especially if you're a boxer, mma fighter and so forth. One thing to remember is that a good boxer always protects their hands. Its the tools you'll be using like 95% of the time other than your legs so you'd better protect them. Sure hitting the heavy bag barefisted will give a simulation on how it would feel if it were a street fight but im pretti sure your knuckles would start bleeding and your wrists will start hurting in under 5 minutes depending on how hard you hit the bag. So be sure you buy good quality bag gloves and handwraps and wrap you hands carefully giving complete and good protection to the knuckles, thumb and especially the wrists which could easily break when you're hitting the bag barefisted if you're not careful.

  6. Absolutely. Use wraps and gloves.

  7. no its good it makes you hand and fists tougher i do it all the time and my knucles bleed and now it aint sore and now there rock hard keep doin it if u sprain it is ok no pain no gain in a real fight u dont wear gloves so this prepares you in a real life
