Is it bad for you to drink water from an old filter?

With a Britta filter, when it starts flashing is it bad for you if you just keep using it without changing the filter?

Well, you can still drink water from an old filter, but you really should change the filter.  The water won't harm you, but if you let it go for a while the minerals and bacteria can add up, so then it may harm your body.  You will want to change the filter, bu in the mean time (unless that ime is a long time) then don't worry about being harmed!

With Britta? No it is not any worse than it was before.

That is becasue Britta is a basic filter and not a purification system. It only removes some sediment and other stuff to improve the taste and odor of the water only. It really does absolutely nothing for cleaning the water of health contaminates as a purifier would. So even if it is old your water will just smell and taste more like it does out of the tap.

If all you want is for your water to taste better then keep the filter changed. If you want to improve the health standards of your water then don't waste your money on Britta any longer and buy a purification system.
