Is it bad for your teeth to eat a lot of fruit?

My teeth have been hurting really bad lately, but I really don't eat many sweet things and I don't drink soda at all.

I eat fruit salad for lunch every day... it's just fresh fruit, no added sugar. Is this destroying my teeth like candy would?

  1. It shouldn't be as bad for your teeth as candy, but fruits still contain sugars & acids, although they are natural ones which are better for you (& your teeth). If you're worried about it you could always brush your teeth afterwards or rinse with mouthwash. Sometimes no matter what someone does they still get cavities or toothaches, it doesn't necessarily mean it is due to your eating fruit salad.

You could also ask your dentist next time you go in.

  2. Only if you don't brush.

  3. just make sure it's not acidic much like an orange is, the makes the enable in ur teeth weak... and not sugary fruits like strawberries that can form bacteria thus cavities
