Is it bad if corner of contact rips slightly?

I have a pair of acuvue contacts, and a partial piece of the right on broke off. It bothers me slightly when I put it in my eye, and I was wondering if I should not bother to wear it and get a new pair from my doctor, seeing as this was my last pair in the pack I received.

  1. Yeah, if you can feel it than you probably should replace it as soon as possible.  I don't think it will be a problem if you wear it for a little while as you wait for the replacement, but it could make your eye irritated and maybe scratch it a little.

  2. I would trash it ASAP as I have noticed a lot of my patients get scratchy and uncomfortable eyes after wearing lenses like these beyond one day.  If it's time to renew your Rx, go see your eye doc and tell him about the situation and I am sure she/he will hook you up with a new diagnostic pair.  Good luck!

  3. Let your doctor know that your lenses are not fitting correctly, and you will probably get examined again, and get a free trial pack.

  4. get a new pair
