  1. No it's not bad  to eat fish if that's what you think is healthy for you.. A vegetarian fanatic may try to ridicule or scare you out of your choice but it is really none of their business. In fact, the American Diabetic Association recommends adding fish/seafood into your diet 2-3 times week as part of an overall healthy food choice for everybody, not just diabetics. If you want to eat fish, go right ahead and enjoy. If that doesn't make you a vegetarian, doe sit really matter? Does it diminish in any way the kind of person you are just because you don't have the label?

As for the KFC thing, I guess most people already said it. it is simply not true.

  2. I think that word "bad" is relative. Its not bad to be anything....it may be immoral or moral but that is also determined by your personal morals. I have never before heard the term pescavegetarian , interesting. What would they call someone who only eats chicken and fish?

  3. nothing is bad unless it is hurting someone else.

and i do not believe that KFC really tortures their chickens.. but i am not saying they make the chickens comfertable.

  4. Here is what I know on the whoe KFC thing....in 2004 KFC workers were caught pulling off chickens beaks, spray painting their faces, snapping their necks, steping on them, kicking them, and all kinds of stuff. But I was thinking about it and KFC isn't the company who slautters the animals. The dead chickens are shipped to them. So how can KFC workers hav done that?

  5. No it's not bad, it's just impossible.  There is no such thing as a pescevegetarian.  Vegetarians don't eat flesh and fish is flesh.  Just because fish are not cute and fuzzy animals that nurture their young doesn't mean they are not animals.

Visit www.fishinghurts.com to find out why fishing not only hurts the environment and the fish, it's also bad for our health.

If you do decide to only eat fish you will be a pescetarian, which should not be confused with vegetarianism as the two are very separate things.

KFC does really torture their chickens.  There is a lot of evidence at www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com.  The Canadian branch of the KFC corporation used to torture their animals, but PETA kicked their butts and made them change their evil ways.  A lot of people are trying to have the same thing happen in the US, but we are still trying.  I don't know about KFC in other countries, but I know about the US and Canada.

  6. Yes, they torture them.

They bash them against the wall and kill them inhumanely.

They also mutate them so they have more meat to sell to companies.

    Its ABSOLUTELY disgusting.

No, I would becom a vegetarian. or just not eat fast food.

Im a vegetarian, and I love it. I feel great, all the time. Very energetic and never sick.

The government is corrupting our minds and food.

  7. Yes, because there's no such thing. A pescatarian is not a vegetarian.

No, KFC does not handle ANY live animals. Anybody who says KFC tortures animals is either intentionally misleading or is completely unaware of the situation's facts.

I'd take whatever TGL says with a grain of salt. She was busted saying she was vegan for over a year but was just claiming to be pescatarian a month ago.

  8. No it's not bad, to each their own, if you want to not eat beef, chicken and pork, but still eat fish, you are still saving a lot of animals, and improving your health.  Don't let anyone beat you down and tell you that you're a hypocrite for still eating fish, b/c it is your choice.

  9. Nothing bad about being a pesca vegetarian!  Yeah I believe that KFC gets their chickens from a place that does treat them bad.  There are way too many chickens killed a day all over for them to be treated fairly well.

  10. Think for one second of the asinine nature and pure lunacy of that statement about KFC and then ask yourself again if you believe it.

What does KFC gain by torturing a chicken?

What do they risk?  (like total boycott by even non-veg)

    What purpose would it serve?

Is everyone at KFC the incarnation of the devil?

    The entire concept is stupid.

  11. KFC doesn't handle live chickens.  They are a restaurant, they buy the chickens already dead and past the point of torture.  So it is not accurate to say that KFC tortures them.  The legitimate beef with KFC and other large, powerful "Big Food" companies is that they do not demand high enough standards from their suppliers.  If the KFCs of the world demanded humane treatment for the chickens they buy, they'd get it.  Read Fast Food Nation for examples of the kind of positive changes that can be put into place on a dime at the bequest of the fast food industry.  The problem with Big Food is that they're not using their power to bring about positive changes, they are using their power to make more and more money.  Groups like PeTA aim to use public relations to put pressure on companies like KFC to demand change or look like the bad guy.  I'm not defending KFC in any way because I think it's wrong to slaughter animals for food, period, but it irks me a bit when people simplify the matter by saying KFC tortures chickens as though they arrive at each restaurant still clucking.

Being a pescetarian is not bad at all.  Unless you're asking the fish what they think about it.

  12. HAHA KFC doesn't torture chickens.  They are dead before they are even dropped in the fryer!

The issue with the chickens (and other animals grown for food) is that there are people who feel that mass-production of animals results in cruel unnatural lives for them.  Supposedly chickens are kept in tiny little cages and they don't get to run around and eat bugs.

Remember that KFC is not the only business to sell mass-production chickens.  Your grocery store probably does too, as well as McDonalds, Jack In The Box, Chik fil a, etc.

If you are concerned about the animals life before they reach your dinner plate, I suggest you seek out free range organic animals where they at least had SOME exposure to the great world during their lives.

  13. First of all, there's nothing wrong with eating meat.  Morals are simply based on opinion.

Does KFC torture?  I don't know.  Treat them unfairly and inhumanely?  Definitely.  Regardless, I don't know why anyone would want to eat there anyway considering the food is god awful.

  14. There is no such thing as a pesca vegetarian.  That's an oxymoron.  Vegetarians do not eat dead animals..ever.  Also.."pesce" means fish..not chicken.  Some people who do not eat any flesh but fish call themselves a pescetarian but that is a type of omnivore diet..not vegetarian.
