Is it bad if my cartilage piercing itches? I just got it pierced 3 days ago.

The earrings I have in now are 14k gold studs. I cleanse the piercing site with the antiseptic ear wash 2-3 times a day and I turn them as well. They just itch when I wake up and a little bit after I clean them. I hope I don't have an infection.

i don't think it means u have an infection(but don't take my word on that) but my ear did that do after i got my cartilage peirce and i didn't have an infection..just keep cleaning it and turning it regularly and it should b ok

oooh ouch cartilage my god i hated that piercing i took it out ifu  got it done by a gun its stuffed coz u just shatterd cartilage that y my ear is slightly deformed

Put an icepack or something cold on your piercing,

this should reduce itching drastically.

If this doesn't work try some allergy tablets or anti-histemines

Its not bad at all, it's itching because it's irritated. Just don't itch it because it will make it red and cause the piercing to get infected (our hands and fingers are filled with bacteria.) It's not bad at all, don't worry!

Just keep up the care for it and don't take it out! It's not an infection either! It will also itch because after you clean it, it is getting rid of the didirt that can build up in there. The antiseptic always makes piercings itch.

as long as the site isn't red or painful swollen or oozing you haven't got an infection..don't scratch!

you may be allergic to gold or your ear is just healing still you did JUST get it pierced...clean it 3 times a day MINIMUM and leave 'em be

it's normal for cartilage to be painful months after it's pierced

I have my lip pierced and it itches a lot, but since its swollen I can't scratch it so I put an ice pack.

I just got mine pierced, its completely normal. Don't freak out. It happens. If it itches, what I do is turn the earring, cause it seems to help, or try itching around the earring.
