well it is not lucky for the gecko, but i have not heard anything about it being unlucky for the person

luck is purly created by humans. luck is something we use for faith to not be let down all the time. we call it luck. why would a gecko loosing its tale give you bad luck? unless you ripped it off, then id worry about carma
