I have 2 engagement rings from my previous marriage. We thought I lost one so it was replaced with a new one. The rings just sit there and I'm engaged again. Right now I have a CZ ring as a temporary. I was wondering if selling the two center stones from the previous rings and using towards a new ring would be bad luck? I dont mind a cheap ring, but he wants something more. I have a 2 year old dog that needs eye surgery that is very costly. I'd rather spend the extra money there, but understand my fiance's feelings. So I was thinking of trading in the two diamonds and getting something completely different but was afraid it was bad luck due to where part of the money is coming from. Please help me.

  1. of course not.   Let the rings work for you!!

  2. Not at all.  Never heard that before.

  3. No, it is not bad luck at all.  Might as well put them to use...just sitting there collecting dust.  Though you did not ask, I would choose to help my dog first before I bought a new ring.  Seems like the noble thing to do.
