  1. Unless your dress is black, than no.  Please search harder, you will regret wearing black shoes.  This is a definite "don't do it girl."

  2. If no one will see them at all, then go for it. Whatever you feel comfortable in is what you should wear. It's YOUR day!

  3. Check eBay or any local stripper/dancer/clubwear shops. You can typically find platforms, and heels up to 6" or higher (sometimes in just a basic pump). Better to wear "dancer" shoes of a more complementary color, than black shoes (esp if your dress is white/light). ☺

  4. Be different. Black shoes aren't bad luck. Besides, the only time anybody will see your shoes is when the groom takes off the garter. (If you decide to do that). Be comfortable. Its your wedding.

  5. How tall of a heel are you looking for?  Theyre not that hard to find, theres tons of styles and everything.  I think that you shouldnt wear black shoes, just incase if someone does actually see them... it would look really bad w/ a white wedding dress.  def tacky.  sorry, but it'st he truth.

    Good luck :)

    And congratulations!!!

  7. I'm a bridal consultant, and I've never heard that it's bad luck to wear black shoes for your wedding.  Personally, I love it when brides wear a fun color of shoe for their wedding.  The 2 most popular colors I've seen are blue (for the "something blue") and red.

It's your wedding though, and if you want to wear black shoes, then by all means do so!  Just a word of advice from me--whatever shoe you decide to wear, please make certain it's comfortable.  I've seen more brides near tears after the ceremony, because their shoes are killing their feet.  Remember, you're going to be on your feet for a LONG time on your wedding day, both during the ceremony and at the reception, so whatever you wear, make certain it's well broken in, and comfortable.

  8. It's not tacky at all if it achieves the overall look you're going for. No one will see and if it makes you feel better it was your little rebellion for the day.

  9. No, black is fine . . . especially when wearing a gown like this.

  10. noo

  11. How tall do you need them to be?

I've heard from photographers that sometimes the shoes do peek out and could basically ruin beautiful pictures, especially walking down the aisle, etc...

Try ebay. What about blue shoes (something blue?) or shoes the color of your bouquet?

  12. First off,  it's "heel".

Second, what kind of hooker shoes are you looking for that you can't find a high enough heel?

Seriously, where have you looked for shoes?  A black shoe with a white wedding dress will be noticeable and tacky.

    Try to find something else.

If the dress is too long and you are looking for a shoe to take up some length just spend the money and have the dress shortened.
