Is it bad only to have 3 close friends?

Aww, lucky! I only have 1 (yes I'm shy). I've never wanted anymore or any less. It's great having just one person to go around and talk to all day instead of having a 6 or 7 people around you. Do I ever want more close friends? Well, I guess I do sometimes. Remember that just about everybody has 3-4 great friends around them and maybe a group of 2-6 other friends (now that's what I have, not very close to them though). It's perfectly fine to have 3 friends along with your boyfriend. I think that you can have more fun with 3 than 7! If you want to expand your circle of friends, go do it :)! It's perfectly fine to have more than a minumum amount of friends if you are a very social person. Remember that the popular kids may always be surrounded by people, but some may not even have a single best friend in that whole circle!

No 3 is good! 3 real friends? That's good.

But as a teenager yeah, it seems like it might be bad but think about it: most people that seem to have 5+ close friends probably don't even have one real friend at all. I'm a teenager and I have only 2 close friends but I love them both to death.
