I am a sophomore in High school. I was in all foundations in freshmen year I am in all now and will be in all foundations till I graduate. Is it a big problem that I am in foundations? Will it affect the college I go to and the life I live. Since I am in foundations will most colleges deny me just because of the foundations and my high school will try to find the right and easier college for me that wont be a good college? By the way I get average in all my classes. I get really all B's and a few A's.

  1. It depends on what colleges you apply but many colleges will accept you regardless of you taking foundation classes. Do you have an IEP? IEP's are good even college so if there is a learning disability the college has to take that into account. And will you be fine in life? Once you're done with school nobody will really care what you did in high school. Work hard and be proud of the work you do.

  2. I think you are doing just fine. Stick with it and keep getting A's and B's and you won't have any problems getting into college. You may not get into Harvard, but you can go to a statue university most of which are highly respectable. Since you are getting As and Bs, why don't you talk to your counselor and see if you can get into the middle tier classes, though. Sounds like you would be able to handle it - especially since you are only a Sophomore. There's no reason to keep you in foundations if you ace the classes. Keep up the good work!

  4. I don't know what foundations is...but anyway I don't see anything wrong with being in Special Ed classes. I also don't think that you'll have problems getting into college. You might not get into Harvard or Yale. (Heck I can't even get into those schools) but as long as you keep your grades up and keep improving almost any university will work with you so that you can be admitted.  Good Luck!

  5. No not at all. nothing to be ashamed of.
