Is it bad that I wanna be rich and I'm confident that I will be?

No. I think that is the common goal for most people in today's society.

As long as you don't want the power associated with money (which is what people view as evil) nothing is wrong with wanting to be rich.

No, not evil, but some people who are rich take it to the extremes, like Paris Hilton. I don't care how much money she has, she is talentless and annoying.

Yes, it's bad for many reasons

1) Only 20 of 1,000 people are rich so you don't have numbers on your side

2) for every rich person there are countless others who suffer to prop-up their excessive lifestyles

3)The desire to be rich shows one to be shallow and materialistic as well as unrealistic

4) the confidence you speak of is actually arrogance and baseless optimism, which will forever prevent you from seeing the truth or succeeding at anything you do.

I don't think its bad to be rich, I just would say don't let it control your life. Money and material things really mean nothing in the general scope of life, and they are not worth risking things like love, human life, etc. to obtain them. If you can make money by working hard, then I think its great to use your money to buy things that make you happy. However, I have seen many people corrupted by too much cash, so watch out what you spend it on and don't let it consume you.

not at all! being confident that you will succeed can be great motivation. as far as rich people being evil...unfortunately many of them probably are but people shouldn't generalize. you can be rich and be a nice person....money doesnt make a person evil...their personality does. good luck and hope you succeed!
