Is it bad to add Sugar and Milk/Cream to Espresso?? Im new to espresso!lol So i just got a new espresso machine and i don't know much about espresso! I just made an espresso and it was very strong. i dont know if it was bad that i added sugar and milk/cream to it.. not sure if that ruins the whole meaning of 'espresso' ..Is it bad? or is it normal to add milk/cream and sugar to espresso.... Thanks

  1. If you like sugar, and cream in espresso, so you shall have it.

    There is nothing wrong with taking it the way you enjoy it.

    I prefer mine black with a twist of lemon.


  2. it is good. i always do. it is too bitter otherwise.

  3. whatever is good to you. there is no "bad way" if you like the way it tastes.

  4. to me espresso is about pure coffee flavor, I like a lemon rind to knock off the bitter after taste.

  5. no, it's not bad at all.....just don't add so much sugar that it turns into sugar water.....when you go smewhere like starbucks.....order your espresso "con panna"......it means with cream.....and add sugar in the raw......it's awesome
