Is it bad to brush your chiwawwas teeth with human toothpaste?

my lil chiwawwas breath smells real gross! will something happen if i use human tooth paste on him? please answer

I think you should use dog toothpaste because something might happen to the dog.

It could be toxic to your chihuahua depending on what you use. Most likely it WILL be toxic-- if it isn't good for a human to swallow, it won't be good for a dog to swallow. Dogs don't know how to spit toothpaste back out.

I suggest giving your vet a call and asking them what would be best.

i wouldn't use it because the tooth paste has a lot of chemicals and stuff its good for us (humans) but the dog probably cant handle it. try to talk to a vet or look it up on google. :) good luck and GOD bless.
