I heard somewhere (don't ask me where) that if you eat something acidic or if you eat and then if you brush your teeth without waiting like 15 minutes or something then you brush off some of your enamel and its bad for your teeth... Is this true?

  1. I read something similar, I don't remember where either.  It said that brushing your teeth immediately after eating or drinking damages your tooth enamel.  It said you are supposed to wait at least 30 minutes.  Something about the acidity as well.  I'm not sure if it is valid or not.

  2. no it is very good for you i do it after every meal and i got like the best teeth in the class. U wont get any tooth pains!!!!!!!!

  3. i hope not.

i've always found that brushing my teeth after i ate made my mouth smell better and my teeth were whiter.

  4. Partly true. You should wait around an hour to brush your teeth after you eat. When you eat your enamel gets a tiny bit softer, so when you brush, you're rubbing in the food particles. So its best to wait a bit.

  5. Just brush in the morning, afternoon (if needed), and at night.

  6. We learned that the best time to brush was within 20 minutes of eating.

  7. it is good to brush your teeth after you eat.
