Is it bad to chew gum all the time or eat mints?

  1. If the gum or mints have sugar, your teeth will go bad. If sugarless, shouldn't be a problem.


  2. Eating mints or chewing gum can be detrimental to your teeth if they contain sugars.  The best ones to buy are the sugar-free types, especially those that contain xylitol.  Ortitz is one brand that I know contains xylitol.  Another brand may be Trident.  Check the labels.  

    Chewing gum too often may cause some jaw pains or joint pains.  

  3. if they have sugar then the issues are obvious, but if they're sugarfree (the best sweetener is xylitol, it's safe even in large doses and good for teeth), then it's okay as long as your jaw doesn't get sore. mine does when i chew all day.
