  1. Not really, but bottled water has no nutrients or minerals usually. Thus, it is not good for you because it's not supplying your body with anything that your body needs to survive. Hope this helps. Tap water is better.

  2. Thats fine. Just dont guzzle down 10 jugs of it. I heard on the news one story about a woman who was on a radio show doing a contest to see who could drink the most water. She drank so much water in a 30 minute time period that her cells bursted and she died.

As long as you dont drink 20 gallons in 20 minutes, you'll be fine. Water is great for you, but too much of anything is bad for you. Drink 8 glasses of water a day, thats the ideal amount.

  3. No, thats good...most people need to get in the habit you are in.

The only time drinking lots of water can actually harm you is if you drink ALOT within a short period of time. I don't know if you remember what happened about 4 years or so ago, but a radio station had a drinking water contest, and this lady died from it...the last I heard, her family was trying to sue the radio station.

  4. Drinking water is good for you but it can also be bad in heavy amount such as the in the newspaper a guy drank aout nearly 30 litre's a day because he was told by his doctor he had a urine infection to he done this with the water for about 3 days on the 4th he was dead something in he body a vitamin (I think) had got to high and another to low until it was at such a dangerous level he died.

6-8 or 8-10 are good for you

    but 30 litre DEADLY

  5. No

Our bodies are more than 70% water, so water is not only healthy but actually something your body needs, at least 16 oz per day.

Do bear in mind that a gallon of water weighs about 8 lbs, so the more you drink the more you will weigh.  That's not a reason to drink less water, but for those watching their weight, it's a good fact to be aware of.

  6. No drinking lots of water is the best thing for you. I bet you don't even drink as much as you are suppose to anyways.  Almost nobody does.  You should take your weight in lbs. cut it in half and drink that many ounces of water or more every day.  So if you weigh 120, you need to drink 60 ounces or more to stay healthy.

  7. For the most part, no.  Water actually cleans out your body of all the nasty stuff found in foods you eat.  I don't agree with tap water (especially in remote areas), however.  It contains chlorine and other weird chemicals such as rust which may not be good for you, plus it tastes worse than clean water.

Water also keep you cool in hot water via sweat, and distributes heat around your body during cold weather and keeps your skin from drying out due to the cold.

What you are doing can actually be very helpful if you exercise a lot.  In hot weather, when you do intense exercise, you can lose as much as 40 ounces of water an hour and it must be replinished, along with electrolytes.

Drinking water also clear bateria that grows in your mouth (they thrive when your mouth is dry).

So I suggest you keep drinking.  Avoid soda, caffeine and alcohol, however.

  8. Yes and No.

First the yes.  It's good to drink ample water (at least 8 glasses per day) to give your kidneys a good flushing of wastes that the body did not absorb or need.  It is good for your skin.

However, you can overdo it and wash away needed electrolytes by excessive urination and dilution.  When this is done, ensure that these electrolytes are replaced by proper nutrition.

  9. there was a thing where a lady drank too much and died because of a shock to her system. as long as you aren't forcing yourself to drink it it should be okay.

  10. Drink as much water as you feel you need to!

The only way drinking too much water could be bad depends on the quality of your drinking water where you live.

In some countries it IS bad to drink too much of the water from the supply there.

You can check online for water quality in your city or country by googleing

    "drinking water quality in _______."

    Best wishes!

  11. no water i s actually really great for u cz when u get old u will be nice and young lookign but you should try and drink sum juice that have vitamins u know drinks with a littlebit of vitamin cause water is just plain and what u r drinking you are not getiing any thing heathy in it. SO DRINK SUM JUICE FOR A WHILE OK.

  12. you can die from too much water intake as long as your thirsty you are not drinking too much water.  If your pee is clear you don't need to drink as much, yellowish pee is the sign of dehydration.

  13. People say that six to eight cups a day is good for you. Some things, like exercise or very hot weather can increase the amount you need.

If you are drinking every hour then it sounds like you are drinking more than that.

Forcing yourself to drink a lot of water can be very bad for you - it messes with the ratio of salt and other chemicals (electrolytes) in your body and it can ultimately kill you - but you would have to drink a LOT of water and really force it down.

If you find that you are thirsty all the time, it can be a sign of certain illnesses, like diabetes. If you are drinking/peeing more than normal (eg getting up in the middle of the night to have a drink or use the toilet) then it might be worth getting checked out by your doctor.

  14. It depends on the quantities.

Drinking too much water will poison you and lead to death. Once an hour is not terribly much, however, but I don't know when exactly it is ''too much''.

It would seem relatively safe to me, and you can always try drinking some less water if you're uncomfortable with it.

  15. Its not BAD to drink water a lot. I drink about 32oz of water over a day period and more if Im working out. Its great for your body to flush out anything bad, plus your urine should always be a pale yellow color. So no, its not bad, maybe get a re-useable bottle from Brita or Target so you can keep track of how much water youre drinking. Plus its green because youre not using as much plastic :).

  16. actually you can die. seriously. if you drink too much water your brain can swell because your body will continue to absorb it even though you don't need it. not joking. this is how mental patients are most likely to commit suicide.

  17. you only need 64 ounces or a half gallon per day, if you don't live in a hot climate or don't do much sweating. anything more than that will just make you pee

  18. That seem like a good amount, but don't overdo it. You could get water intoxication

  19. As long as you have a healthy urinary tract, and hopefully are going out and getting some exercise, then it's fine.

If you start noticing negative health effects, you might want to back off a bit, but water beats the h**l out of cokes/coffee/beer, etc.

  20. no its a good thing. your kidneys will take care of any excess water and it would be very hard to drink so much water your body couldnt handle it. If you are active, you should weigh yourself after a workout and make sure you drink at least the amount of water as weight you lost (water weight) this is about 8 oz. for every half pound.

  21. no it is not bad , drink plenty of water on an average 8 to 16 glass of water spc in summer \ liquied or liqueid diets are good for shiney glowing skin

  22. No it's very good for u. That's how some people lose weight too. Its good because the more water you drink the more cleaner your insides are gonna be. By the way when I grow up I am gonna become a Nurse. Even though I'm in Gr 6 right now.

  23. Water is every good to drink.  Most people don't drink enough water each day.  Very healthy habit to have....drinking a lot of water.

  24. Not at all. My mom drinks only water, nothing else. It cleans out your sytem, keeps you refreshed, keeps you hydrated, and has no calories. A lot of people drink only water or a lot of it. A lot of people even lose weight when they lay off the sweet drinks like juices and soda.

  25. no it's good it hydrates the brain keeping it working to its full potential just make sure you eat a healthy, balanced diet

the bigger you are the more you should drink, but you seem to be doing really well i only seem to be able to have 3 drinks a day, well done, it also keeps you hydrated, hope this helped.

  26. Too much of ANYTHING can be bad, but most people don't drink enough water.  The recommended amount we keep hearing is eight glasses a day, and most of us don;t get that much.  So unless your water supply is polluted, drink on!

  27. Whenever you disregard your sense of thirst and strive to ingest several glasses of water a day just because you have been told that doing so is good for your health, you actually put unnecessary strain on your body in two major ways:

       1. Ingesting more water than you need can increase your total blood volume. And since your blood volume exists within a closed system - your blood circulatory system - needlessly increasing your blood volume on a regular basis puts unnecessary burden on your heart and blood vessels.

       2. Your kidneys must work overtime to filter excess water out of your blood circulatory system. Your kidneys are not the equivalent of a pair of plumbing pipes whereby the more water you flush through your kidneys, the cleaner they become; rather, the filtration system that exists in your kidneys is composed in part by a series of specialized capillary beds called glomeruli. Your glomeruli can get damaged by unnecessary wear and tear over time, and drowning your system with large amounts of water is one of many potential causes of said damage.

  28. nope. its REALLY good for you.

it cleanses your system, flushing out all the icky stuff.

    execellent behavior.

  29. It is very good to drink water as much as possible as it flushes out your system and keeps you hydrated.

However, if you notice a change in thirst, like you always seem to be thirsty and it is never fully quenched, bring this up with your doctor. There are some bodily issues, such as diabetes, where this is a symptom.

If you're worried, just check with your doctor. Otherwise, good job for you on keeping your body happy :]

  30. Drinking alot of water detoxifies our system making us healthier, skin, hair, teeth, nails look better, keeps us energized, keeps us focused, and many other benefits. Though the down side is drinking alot of water makes you bloat especially when taking in any foods or drinks with alot of sodium. The bloating can last a long period of time depending on how much water is consumed. Though you will gain a couple pounds you should loose it or more weight in a couple weeks.

  31. you should have around 8-14 cups a day. any more than that is bad.i dont know why people say the more the better. if you drink to much water your cells burst. isnt it bad to overwater your plant.
