  1. it's best to give it up while you are pregnant.  i know how hard that is because i am a dedicated coffeeholic and when i switched to decaf during my pregnancy, it was difficult.  but i thought it was best.  of course, later i found out that the process they use to decaffeinate coffee is just as bad as drinking the real stuff...  also, remember, there is caffeine in chocolate and some teas.  avoid that as well.

  2. It can be, but doesn't effect everyone the same. I had to swear off all types of caffeine when I was pregnant because it was speeding up one of the babies heart rates and the fast heart rate was causing fluid to gather in the chest area.  However, I've known pregnant women that have coffee and soda and never run in to any problems. So, it's not necessarily healthy, but some babies can handle the caffeine, while others can't...

  3. Normally you have to cut down or even cut out caffeine while pregnant. Your doctor is the best judge of this. Coffee has more caffeine per serving than any other drinks. Yes, that even means more than energy drinks.

Be aware that decaffeinated is not caffeine free. You may want to ask your doctor about that too. Teas and coffee naturally have caffeine in the plant so they remove most of it but not all of it. That is why they are labeled decaffeinated. Drinks like sodas or energy drinks that say caffeine free mean that no ingredients in it naturally have caffeine and since no caffeine is added then it is caffeine free.

  4. it can be but its doctor recommended to drink milk if you're pregnant if you dont want the child kicking around cos' of the energy lolz..

  5. They say drinking anything with caffeine in it while pregnant is bad for you. When I was pregnant my doctor just told me to cut WAY back on the caffeine intake.

  6. the less caffeine the better. Maybe try Half decaf and half regular. How much are you drinking?  Try to limit yourself to 1 cup a day.... easier said than done (i know) I'm a coffee lover myself. but gotta take care of the little one...

    awwww, congrats!!!
