  1. Yes all the time you are getting caffeine and sugar in a excessive amount which could cause health problems in the long run.

  2. consuming that much sugar has a lot of calories, and will make us fatter.

BUT, if you live in the south, sweet tea is simply what people drink.  It's part of the culture.  And d**n does it taste good!

  3. to be honest i drink red bull like everyday and sweet tea but i don't think its bad if your drinkin decaf cuz thats wat i make

  4. Tea as a general rule, has a fair amount of caffeine in it, and a person really should not consume more than about 70 mg of caffeine per day (or equivalent to 2 cups of coffee).

Also, SWEET tea has SUGAR in it, and EVERYONE knows that SUGAR rots your teeth....how healthy is THAT?

  5. yeah cause something in it can cause you enamal in you teeth to rott away and stains your teeth.

  6. sugar and tons of oxylate.  bad if you've had kidney stones before.

  7. YES

  8. It depends how much and what you call all the if you have a glass a day probably not that bad but if you are drinking it by the gallons not good.

  9. As stated too much of anything is bad for you. Just like everything else moderation is vital. Tea is good for you but it still contains calories, sugars (if sweetened) and caffeine. Most teas (regular brewed and iced teas) contain black tea which has 50 mg of caffein in it. Green and white teas have about 30 mg of caffeine. Once we reach 300 mg a day we have reached the max safe level and start to have problems.

Some are immediate and can be easily resolved and others take time to build up from long term use of excessive caffeine and are more serioius. Newsweek had a big article in April 2007 about caffeine and a recent study was published about the effects of using more then 300 mg per day.

The first and most noticable thing is that caffeine dehydrates us. So the more tea you drink the more dehydrated you will become. You can actually do yourself more harm than good in just a couple of days of drinking tea all of the time and not taking in any regular water.

  10. too much of anything is bad for you

  11. My recipe for ice tea, that I've been drinking all of my life.

I have no cavities, and my teeth are white. However, I brush often and use white strips.

During summer, I must drink a half gallon a day for decades.

    1. Warm 1/2 gallon of water, not quite boiling, just enough for the tea bag to make the water dark.

    2. 1/2 cup of sugar.

    3. One Lipton or Luzon family size tea bag.

    4. Pour the hot tea and sugar into the container, mix.

    5. Let set in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so it can "ferment".
