Question:

Is it bad to eat 1 junk food every day?

i pretty much eat healthfully.

breakfast ill usually have kashi cereal or toast w/ peanubutter, or an egg and toast.

mid morning snack ill usually have yogurt, or a granola bar, or fruit and string cheese.

lunch ill usually have a sandwich or soup w/ a small snack

for an after school snack is it ok to eat something not healthy everyday? or should i only have something un healthy like once a week?

im talking like cookies & milk or icecream or chips or something like that.

and for dinner i usually have what my mom makes.

thanks for the help.

also, if anyone is willing to help, im looking for some more healthy mid morning snack options and some healthy lunch box snack options. (dont say veggies or fruit, i already know those. i want MORE options!)

  1. Once a week is more like it. But maybe if you bought kashi cookies and had one with low-fat milk then yes that would be fine. You could have cheese and crackers (there is such a variety out there), pita bread with humus, applesauce, apples and peanut butter, Sugar free Jello w-fat free cool-whip, 60 calorie sugar free pudding, celery and PB or cream cheese, crackers with cream cheese.

    This is all I can think of. You can enjoy things that are unhealthy, just substitute that for a healthy version. I am actually giving you things that I eat when I want variety and a splurge without splurging.  


  2. It's ok to have a cookie or two every day. Just don't go overload.

    This is what i pack for my kids lunch boxes: Roast-beef , Ham,Or turkey sandwiches,  Crackers or tortilla Chips, an apple or a handful of grapes, A capri sun juice box, and 2 chips ahoy.

  3. In moderation, most things are not bad for you. Everyone needs a little fat in their diet.

    Pretzels are good, especially without salt dipped in a little mustard or honey mustard.

  5. yea unhealthy snacks are okay in moderation. Just make sure if u are eating unhealthy stuff u do a little extra moving around to burn caloriese. U seen very young although its really great that u are conscientiousous of your diet make sure u are eating enough calories as u are probably really active and u are still growing. Other healthy snacks would be celery with peanut butter on it ( & raisins if u like) oatmeal, grilled chicken pieces, cheese ( not the processed kind)
