  1. Everything in moderation.  Every day is fine.  But an entire bottle is not.

  2. Peanuts are a legume not a nut. They originated in Africa. They have a lot of fat and potassium in them. They have become a staple in the American Diet thanks to George Washington Carver who first made commercial peanut butter possible. Unless you have an allergy to them no harm will come to you for eating them frequently.

  3. if u are going to eat them everyday then try to get them with low or no salt for your blood pressure's sake and then yeah they have a lot of fat in them, and even though its good its still fat, so maybe u should think twice about eating them everydayy...everything in moderation

  4. They are very fattening so limit yourself to a handful or less a day. Also it depends what kind; preferably get the kind without added salt. The fats in nuts are healthier than some other kinds of fats, but are fattening nevertheless.

  5. I really hope not!  I eat peanut butter every day almost.  Fortunately we eat natural peanut butter that has no other ingredient than the peanuts.  It's called Crazy Richards

I have always wanted to try Nutella, but it's not vegan!

  6. As Long As They Haven't Got Loads Of Salt In I Guess There Not Much Harm =]

  7. ya... i gt sore throat if i eat to much peanut

  8. Yes, peanuts are good for you, not not in large quanitities every day; because they cotain alot of fat, and salt.  Depending on which company nut you purchase and consume, the salt content will be either lower or higher, but I highly doubt that anyone will purposefully add fat to them.

  9. Nuts, in general, are great for you as they provide a healthy source of essential omega-3 fatty acids (called alpha linolenic acid, or ALA) . They are rich in plant sterols—plant sterols can play a significant role in lowering serum cholesterol levels—a good source of fiber and protein, and they also provide magnesium, copper, folate, and vitamin E. However, I would recommend the walnuts as they are the nut with the highest overall antioxidant activity. Also, remember that nuts have A LOT of calories per serving. For example, 1 cup of peanuts has about 846 calories! Yikes! I would also be aware of the sodium intake and buy unsalted nuts.

  10. No it is not bad to eat peanuts everyday as long as they are not plastered in salt and sugar. Peanuts and almonds are actually healty for and are advised for you to eat a handful everyday. The fats that are in the peanuts is actually healthy as long as you do not eay millions eeryday as i said you are recommended to eat only a handful not a jar.

  11. I thought so too until I read they have monosaturated fats which is good for you.

  12. Peanuts have lots of protein and healthy fats that can keep your hunger under control without all of the saturated fats of chips and other alternitives. My brother is a personal trainer and he eats peanuts to keep his metabolism going strong and blood sugar levels stable. He says they can even help you loose weight! The idea is that because of the low carbs, high protein, and good monounsaturated fat in peanuts, eating a handful as a snack (especially in the evening) will keep your metabolism burning well into the night, when it normal drops.

While it's OK to eat peaunts daily, it's important to limit your portion size. Too many peanuts can put you way over your daily caloric needs, and cause weight gain!  A good serving is about handful, containing 16 grams of protein and 200 calories. It's a great snack!

Natural peanut butter is equally as good! But stay away from the traditional brands like Jiff because they contain partially hydroginated oils, also known as "trans-fat" which are hard for your body to break down. Try Smucker's brand Creamy Natural Peanut Butter, it's yummy!

Hope this helps and happy peanut eating!

  13. Peanuts are full of fat and thus calories, just bare that in mind, as are most nuts, though technically speaking peanuts are not true nuts but legumes.

Why don't you vary the nuts you eat so that your total amino acid intake is more balanced, as would your fatty acid intake from these sources. Plus the fats in some nuts are better for you.....walnuts for instance are a source of omega 3. Macadamia nuts may have some of the elusive omega 7.

Peanuts, like all true nuts, are a source of anti-oxidants but make sure they are absolutely fresh. Never eat rancid nuts or you will get more oxidants/pro-oxidants than any potential antioxidants in there and also old nuts may contain fungal spores. Always keep opened packets of nuts in airtight containers. It is preferable to buy them in their shells and de-shell as and when you want them for freshness.

  14. In moderation, they are good for you.  They are a good source of healthy fats and have about 6.7 gm protein per serving.

  15. In moderation? No problem. An entire pound a day? Maybe not. They are a healthy food, high in protein and fiber. However, they are also loaded in fat. If the rest of your diet is low fat, hey, no biggie.

I would recommend you eat peanuts produced in the US only. Imported ones are not screened for aflatoxin, and if peanuts are a large proportion of your diet you might be at an increased risk for it if you eat imported peanuts. The US strictly tests peanut samples and the rejected ones (high in aflatoxin) must be used for products not consumed by humans. Parts per billion must be 20 or less if it is intended for humans or dairy production animals.

However, it can be up to 300 parts per billion if it's intended to finish off feedlot animals or chicken (cottonseed meal and corn, mostly). Yet another reason to limit or eliminate meat from your diet!

  16. depends how many and how they are cooked.

salted peanuts are very bad for you, dry roasted arnt quite as bad but still not so good.
