Is it not good for the baby? I ate some really hot chips, she didn't seem to mind, but would like to know if that isn't a good idea.

  3. Okay, I'm gonna tell you a funny story..

My youngest aunt (10 years older than me) is a nurse and was expecting her first-she also planned to breastfeed.

her ob/gyn told her among other things, to avoid chinese food.

So my aunt asked..."Then what do pregnant and nursing chinese women eat?" he couldn't answer....

Avoid alcohol, any meds not prescribed by the dr, and as long as it agrees with you, you can eat what you please-go easy on salt, tho as it can cause or aggravate water retention....good luck.

  4. Eating spicy foods while pregnant is fine. As long as the baby doesn't mind! (:

It is actually a great way to induce labor for certain women, just for future reference! (:

Good Luck! & enjoy your spicy foods!
