I floss twice a day and my mom told me to only do it at night. Is that just cause she wants to like save floss or is it actually bad to floss twice a day?

  1. you're going to destroy your gums if you keep flossing so much

  2. Haha, saving floss. :)

  3. So sorry, she's cheap!

  4. Floss is very cheap. You only need to floss once a day, unless you feel some food get stuck between your teeth.

  5. Probably saving floss, you should floss twice a day to be really good. But if you do floss too much you could get bad gums.

  6. I think she is just trying to save floss.  Some people are saying you are destroying your gums but as long as you are being gentle when you floss that really should not happen.  If you are still not sure, just ask your dentist next time you go if your gums look ok and if he/she thinks it is a good idea.  Flossing is really good for preventing cavities in between the teeth so I would never say not to.

  7. No, it's definitely not bad. Dentists have been saying for years that you should floss as much as you can to keep your teeth clean.

  8. she wants to save floss=)
