Is it bad to fly during scattered thunder storms?

  1. i dont think pilots will fly in thunderstorms at all


  2. well if it is really bad then your pilot may choose not to take off but that is only in rare situations and if that happens you just chill out in the airport until it clears up. but if you go ahead and take of it is not that big of a deal once you take of you are above the storm the only trouble would come with the actual landing and taking off.But as long as the pilot can see you have NOTHING to worry about

  3. Commercial aircraft don't fly through thunder storms. They fly around them.

  4. I don't think that they will fly directly through one unless one just happens to pop up during flight unexpectedly. I just flew from Reno to Indianapolis and the whole way there I could see lightening up in the sky. It didn't affect our flight, but it was cool to see.
