  1. i give my dog some milk once in a while and thier fine but not like always.

make sure she has a soft warm bed and put a soft blanket over her

  2. Here is a partial list of people foods that you should not feed your pet:

    1. alcohol

    2. apple cores

    3. avocado

    4.bones

    5. caffeine

    6. cheese

    7.chocolate

    8. dough

    9. fat

    10.garlic

    11. grapes

    12. ham

    13. liver

    *14*. MILK

    15. Moldy foods

    16. Mushrooms

    17. Onions

    18. Potato peels

    19. Raisins

    20. Tuna

We keep the list posted on our fridge. It's easy to forget what's on it.

    Good luck with your dog.

  3. No.  Get your dog a jacket and boots, a heated potty area, or a stack of washable piddle pads.  The dog shouldn't be out long enough for it to be shivering.

Adding water to kibble that is preserved with vitamin C is is related to bloat in large dogs.  Feed it dry.

  4. Ehh i dont think so.

    try a warm blanket instead.

  5. Milk should not be fed to dogs after weaning and if milk is fed to puppies, it should be raw/unpasturized milk. (Puppy milk is cows milk with a marketing ad on it for anyone thinking puppy milk is really good for puppies).

Warm water is fine and a coat would help her stay warm when she goes outside.

Pinkduck: Bones as long as they are raw are fine, including chicken bones. Raw meat is fine for dogs and fat is good for dogs well, garlic is in 99% of dog foods, and Tuna can be fed ocassionally, but it can not contain salt.

  6. A lot of dog experts say it's not good to give your dog milk because their stomachs aren't built to tolerate lactose, but I give my dog some milk time to time and she's ok. Just don't give milk and large quantities, it might be better to give her warm water, or dress her up in a warm jacket then give her milk though

  7. Doogs do not produce the proper enzymes to properly break down lactose.

A few licks probably wouldn't hurt but I don't suggest giving your pup a lot.

Give your dog warm water instead. You could always put a blanket in the dryer for a few minutes so she can snuggle.

  8. Dogs are lactose intolerant, which just means it'll upset her stomache and likely give her diarrhea.  Though, major stomache upsets may cause bloat, I think (though I imagine you'd have to give a LOT of milk for that to happen).

If you're giving it to her on a daily basis in the winter, watch her stool and see if she's getting an upset tummy.  You might consider giving her soy milk though - it'll be similar, but is lactose free.

  9. Wont kill her but could upset her stomach. Instead put some kibble or treats in a bowl and soak with hot water. Let it cool a bit and give that to her.

  10. Dogs cannot tolerate milk, and will easily get diarrhea. I wouldn't give a dog warm milk.. A warm blanket is a better idea.
