  1. yes it is bad mainly depending where uyou live u cant leave it out in cold weather and u cant leave it out in head cuz itll fereeze to death or sweat to death. imagine if u were left outside. uits nott good they should be kept inside

  2. no but make sure the hutch or cage that its in has enough ventilation to keep cool and hay to keep warm but in colder weather it should be kept indoors in a cage.

  3. IT IS BAD BECAUSE AN EAGLE OR AN OWL CAN SEE FROM MILES AWAY AND THEY WILL COME AND FLY AWAY WITH THEM TO FEED OFF OF

  4. I've been raising rabbits for 26 years and I keep all of mine outside with no problems whatsoever; however the way you are keeping yours outside is bad to do.  Here are some reasons why that way is bad:

If a rabbit is to be kept outside it needs protection from drafts, the rain, the son, and other animals that can act as predators.  In cold weather, a draft can give your rabbit pneumonia and kill it in a matter of days.  Rabbits can take the cold very well.  In fact they can take the cold much better than the heat, but they can't take a cold windy draft.  So if you keep your rabbit outside it needs to be in a hutch.  That hutch needs enclosed on 3 sides (the back and sides) during the winter to protect it from cold drafts.  As far as the cold though, rabbits can stand weather down to about -10 degrees Fahrenheit.  When it reaches that cold, bring your rabbits indoors otherwise you risk your rabbit's ears freezing.

Your rabbit also needs protection from the rain.  Getting wet then getting a draft on it can give it pneumonia too.

Your rabbit also needs protection from the sun, especially during warm summer days.  So if you are going to keep it outside, keep it in a hutch that is kept under some shade like a good shade tree such as a maple.  Be careful of trees that lose their leaves too quickly like walnut trees or cottonwoods.  They don't give protection through the hot portions of early fall.  Grapevines also make good shade.

Another thing you have to watch out for is other animals that can kill it.  A hawk or owl would have a chance at getting it if left loose in a back yard.  But the more common threats are neighborhood dogs and raccoons.  Skunks and possums are also common threats.  That is why a well built hutch is needed.

You also put your rabbit at one more risk by keeping it outside the way you do.  Allowing the rabbit to eat grass like that can give it diarrhea.  You might notice in a short while that your rabbit's behind is getting poopy or that it feels bony over the back.  The boniness over the back is a sign that your rabbit is not getting the nutrition it needs and eating the grass will cause that.

  5. Heat is harder on rabbits than cold.

Be sure he has shade and lots of fresh water.

In the winter be sure he has an insulated shelter and be sure his water doesn't freeze.

If you do this outside is just fine.

  6. yeah my friends mom kept hers outside and it died, but she lives in the city. i guess it just depends on where you live, my sister in laws dad keeps his outside and they are more in the country

  7. i dont think so... i have a rabbit and i have him in a hutch outside. i thinks its good for them cuz they get to here the birds and its almost as if they where a wild bunny...except they are in a hutch so they cant run away

  8. Well it depends on the weather. it also depends on the size of your pet and if its small then it should be kept in the house. but then it also depends on the size of your house. even if your bunny is big it should normally be kept in the house. I had two friends and both of them bought a bunny around the same time. one of them put it outside and the kept it inside. the bunny that was kept outside got all kinds on diseases and had to be taken to the vet regulary but the one inside grew quite big and was healthy. If i had a bunny i would keep it inside.

  9. Yes, because a predator can kill it or scare it enough that it has a heart attack.

  10. It bad to do drugs...

  11. Hm

You got alot of diff answers huh..

But i do the same thing with my 3 bunnies and there fine there fenced in and they seem really happy instead of locked up.. but when the weather gets bad i bring them inside for obviouse reasons but i just look at as before this lil bunny was in a store it was out running around ya know what i mean so if you feel there ok then go for it i would maybe suggest puting some kind of shelter out there for them but other than that there fine..

    Well Good Luck ~

    Ash~

  12. yes it is. they can get overheated very easily and die. if you keep them in the shade then it isnt so bad. but it can be bad for their health. so it depends on the place.

  13. yes, because well my friend had chickens and they got eaten by hawks. I doubt that a bunny couldnt be! but my friends leaves them out during the day but then lets him in at night.

  14. If you want it to be eaten by a neighborhood cat, or a wild animal such as a raccoon, coyote, fox, etc...sure keep it outside.

  15. ya its bad. they can die of either being too cold or bad. my neibor had a pet bunny nd they didnt want it in da house so htey kept it outside in their backyard. it died short ly after.........i reccomend da garage if yooh dnt want it in the house.......

  16. If you get extreme weather like blizzards it might be bad, but I live in Ohio and my friend keeps her bunny outside year round

  17. Well there is the chance that a wild animal will attack and eat him/her.

Plus when they are kept outside you really dont get to know them, for example how you reffered to yours as an IT.

Plus there are fleas and mites, plus people dont tend to take good care of rabbits when they are outside, they need fresh timothy hay, their water bowl changed daily and good vet care along with being spayed and neutered.

Rabbits make wonderful indoor pets, they are easily litterbox trained and very clean. Nothing is happier than seeing my rabbits happy jump around the house.

Please do some research on rabbits: http://www.sandiegorabbits.org/adoption/...

Even if you do continue to warehouse your rabbit in your yard please give it a hutch to go to when its scared, raining, or to sleep.

  18. NO WAY!! i have had bunnies through the years and i tried the house thing it is terrible your house starts to smell  and gets really gross... if u start feeling guilty u can put them in the garge not that bad

  19. Because they can get sick if it gets too drafty. They can spend sometime outside to get some air but not 24 hours in colder weather.

  20. yes it is bad. domesticated rabbits are not the same as wild rabbits; they don't thrive on "hearing the birds" or "feeling the breeze", the same way their digestive tracts are biologically different and they can't survive eating the same foods. it is a fact that rabbits kept indoors live longer lives on average than those kept outside. rabbits are prey animals and fall victim to dogs, foxes, coyotes, etc that may be wandering around your yard. it doesn't take much for a predator to get through a rabbit hutch. also, rabbits can get very stressed living outdoors. the weather can fluctuate too much and they can get sick. they are social animals, and need to be part of a social environment. it's not enough to put 2 rabbits in a hutch together and think they'll keep each other company. they need mental stimulation through play and interaction with you. they need physical exercise. and most of all they need to feel a "sense of purpose". a rabbit left sitting in a hutch outdoors will feel ignored and sad. i know people don't think a rabbit can have emotions but they are not that different in needs than dogs are. you wouldn't leave your dog unattended in a cage in the backyard. don't do it to your bunny.

  21. if it has good shelter and is in a secure cage than its fine.

the only reason that it could be bat is bugs (mosquito's, tics, or fleas from wild animals)
