Is it bad to lose your appetite?

So I can eat, it's just that I have no desire to eat food anymore. I'm healthy, as far as I can tell, but since I have returned to college it seems like I can run on one meal a day and be fine. I'm a big guy, and just a few weeks ago going 5 hours started my stomach growling, and now I can go almost all day without much food at all.

Is there something wrong with me?

  1. I wouldn't be too worried. I'm going through the exact same thing, and it's happened to me before. You probably just have a lot on your mind! Just make sure you do eat. And drink a lot of water if you can. Try to put something in your stomach. Something that won't upset your stomach if you're not hungry, like fruit. I also take powdered wheat grass because I don't really buy leafy vegetables for my dorm (we don't have a meal plan). Just try to stay healthy. When you are hungry, don't eat fries. Try to eat things that your body needs. This way you won't be tired all the time, especially during class.


  2. It is best to eat 3 square meals a day. But it all depends what you eat, how much do you eat, and do you exercise at all.

  3. There's nothing wrong with you, but it isn't optimal.

    Your body can certainly get used to eating just one big meal a day if that's how your schedule is working out, but I always gained a lot of weight when I ate (or rather, didn't!) like that.  Your metabolism will be much higher if you spread your food out over the course of the day.  People who eat breakfast wind up eating more over the whole day, but they burn so much more that it's still quite a bit better for you.

  4. It's most likely to be just how your body is, particularly your metabolism, everyone's metabolism is different.

  5. if your busy with things then hunger wont kick in till your finished doing whatever, hence why your eat when your bored, just have a good breakfast which will start your metabalism early and you should be fine :)
