  1. Yes!

The formation of plaque can be greatly reduced by flossing.  That means when you visit the dentist, they won't have to use a jack hammer to get that gritty stuff out between your teeth.

Further, gun disease formation is greatly increased by not flossing.  You gums will get very sensitive and recede from your teeth, exposing nerves just below the gum line, and that can hurt.

You can tell if you don't floss if your gums bleed when you do floss.

Stops a lot of caries (cavities) as well.

  2. Yes because plaque and bacteria build up between your teeth and your toothbrush can't get up in there to remove all the nastyness. You should floss or you could get this thing called a water pick. I use a water pick...it takes a fraction of the time flossing does and it actually works better.

  3. Yeah.

Do it at least twice a week..

    Or just..do it /some/ time x-x

  4. I would prefer to use the the term unwise. Flossing helps to remove debris from between your teeth and under your gums. If this debris is not removed on a daily basis, it can develop into gum disease and /or tooth decay. Most adults lose their teeth to gum disease, not cavities

Only floss the teeth you wish to keep....

  5. Well, its more likely that food and such will stay stuck between your teeth. Those places aren't easily reached by a toothbrush. If you floss at least twice a day, it decreases your chance of getting cavities. Plus, it helps keep your gums healthy, too.

  6. Yes, you will get cavities between your teeth. Pieces of food will end up rotting between your teeth, esp the molars, which leads to decay and horrible breath.

  7. Yes, it is really bad not to floss. You should do it at least once like at night before you brush. Tons of plaque and bacteria build up between your teeth even if you can't see it. When the plaque builds up over time, it will harden and turn into tartar...which causes gum disease like gingivitis. You will know when your gums are at risk for that if you brush/flosh and your gums bleed. Just floss everyday to prevent any of this.
