  1. The fruit juices contain a lot of natural sugar and are mostly water, they contain very little valuable nutrients.  They are over priced and over rated as a health drink.

Eating an orange instead of the juice is far more healthy for you.

  2. Yes....it IS bad to drink only juices. While there might not be any added sugars, and fruits are high in vit. C, the natural sugars tend to raise your insulin levels...too much and you damage your pancreas, which can cause you to develop type 2 diabetes.

At 16, you should also be hydrating with ice water.  Kudos for staying mostly away from sodas!

  3. Definatly cut out hawaiin punch, thats nothing but attitives and lots of sugar! Even though juices contain a natural sugar. Start drinking more water, you'll even start to feel more healthy. Also, try drinking some green tea. Its really good for you!!!

  4. I'm the same way.If you've been drinking them for a while then the sugar is bad. Here's a challenge-for every 2 glasses of juice drink 1 glass of water.

  5. juices are not bad for you but you should drink more water... even if you think water is boring, you still need to drink at least 8 cups a day.

  6. Milk is a juice...moo juice!! That's what I used to call it!! LOL!  Anyways, most 'juices' ARE NOT good for you, don't always trust what the label is advertising!!  If it has high fructose corn syrup (which almost all juices do) then it is not good.  You want juice that is organic or comes straight from the fruit or veggy via a juicer.  Soda is obviously bad for you but will not hurt you if you rarely drink it.

  7. Juices with "no sugar added" still contain a lot of natural sugar from the fruit.  While some types of juice contain lots of great nutrients, they pack a lot of calories.  You may find that you start gaining weight from drinking too much juice.  Moderation is the key.
