  1. if you have a dynamic IP address, it doesnt matter as it always changes, plus your IP address does not reveal your computer location, but it actually locates the ISP datacenters your computer is connected to (if you search for specific location on maps). that datacenter is connected to thousands other computers, so by the time "they" locate you, the datacenter has reassigned IP addresses

  2. Yes it is bad to leave you ip address on a public forum. An ip address is all a hacker needs to get in your computer.

  3. When you post, your ip is available to the moderaters and administrators of the forum.Your IP address can identify the exact place you live.I dont think you should post it.

    Good luck!

  4. It would be a good idea but the Admins already have you IP.

I would strongly NOT recommend you revealing your IP!!

  5. Not very dangerous, since people trying to hack your computer don't need publicly published IP addresses to find you.  They use scanners that work ranges of IP's at a time.

Anyway, most IP's change daily or even more frequently depending on the DHCP settings from your ISP.

  6. It would not be a very good idea.
