I bought 2 seadoos and the guy gave me lots of oil with them including the 1 gallon of TCW3 oil for outboards. I put the tcw3 in the oil tank and then saw a sticker saying never use tcw3? Is this bad for it? or just so seadoo can make money off there oil?

  1. What year and model is it?

I take it that sticker is warning you to use ONLY Seadoo OEM 2 cycle oil made for your PWC.  The reason is for most newer outboards and PWC's, the oil pump/oil injection systems on these outboards requires a VERY specific blend of outboard oil to work correctly.

The sudden failure of the engine and the very large repair bill will quickly crush the myth that they are requiring their oil just to make extra money.  Use OEM oil for your PWC or end up paying alot of expensive repair/replacement bills.

I recommend you either consult the advice of a Seadoo service shop or take it in to be serviced.  Obviously the owner that you bought these from abused your PWC's more than you might think.

Tell the service shop that you think they ran regular TCW-3 and that you accidently put that in the oil tank.  Inform them if you ran it after you put the TCW-3 in it.  You now notice the warning and trying to prevent any additional damage.

In short, get them into a service shop before this becomes a larger and more expensive issue and have them looked over completely.

Finally, remember ALL marine engines, inboard or outboard must have water flowing through the cooling system to run them.  Failure to do this will cause very expensive damage.
