I have an old set of rabbit ear antennas that requires a 12VDC/200 mA power input, but the closest adapter I can find outputs 12VDC/1000 mA. Will the difference in amperage cause a problem at all?

  1. The rabbit ears antenna will still only use the current it always did, and the 1000 ma adapter will run cool because the demand on it will be way below it's capability.

  2. Should be no problem. The current rating of 1,000 ma is the maximum you can draw from it. You only need to draw 200 ma.
