I've heard from a dating coach that alcohol based mouth washes actually encourage bad breath germ growth over time with daily use. He said to use alcohol free ones.

I use Crest Pro-Health. It's alcohol free and works fantastically.

I don't think it would hurt to use alcohol in mouthwash, though I've not noticed it as an ingredient in my wash.

I use savacol because it has a taste I can stand.

I have used straight spirits as a mouthwash when pushed, a nice double malt whiskey costs a little more than mouthwash, but does a treat.
