I tend to use them quite a bit, just wondering if there is any danger in that.

  1. I would say yes

  2. I'm assuming it's laxative supps we're talking about here.

They're not addictive (dependency-forming) in the way that most oral laxatives are - because they don't stimulate-irritate all the way down the gut.  So if you need a chemical crutch they're the best option.  But...you shouldn't put all your faith in them as if you're prone to constipation they won't actually FIX your problem - just relieve it temporarily.

If the usual diet/lifestyle changes aren't helping, see your doctor again as it could be a symptom of something major.

  3. To use them "once in a while" for constipation is ok. But, when you start to use them on a regular basis--your body starts to NEED these in order to have a bowel movement.

Going to the bathroom is a normal body process which should not include artificial means. Try increasing your fruit and vegetable intake. Drink more water. I think it is much safer to take a Fiber-Con pill then use the suppository.
