Is it bad to use the same shampoo or toothpaste over and over again? And why?

I'm not sure what you mean by the "same". but if you're talking about the same brand then i wouldn't think so.

But if you over wash your hair then it'll become dry. And if you over brush your teeth then you'll wear off the enamel on them.

I think its bad for the shampoo, but i haven't heard anything about the toothpaste

Toothpaste doesn't matter.

Sometimes it is good to rotate your shampoos somewhat.  Find 2 or 3 that you really like.  Apparently the benefits are better if rotate some.

i am in cosmetology school and i know a good deal about hair...not the toothpaste though...it is not bad to use the same shampoo...especially if you are using a higher quality shampoo such as biolage or a henna shampoo such as humectress. These are chock full or protein and nutrients that over time can make hair stronger, longer, and healthier.

toothpaste-if it's whitening, yes, if it's not, then no.

shampoo can cause build up in your hair, washing with a clarfying one once a week will help.

no i dont think it is bad but if you want a change then you should beacuse your body has probaly gotten used to ur shampoo and toothpaste

I don't know about toothpaste, but i don't think it's bad to use the same shampoo, it's effects just wear off, like if you take paracetamol constantly it does not work to its maximum potential. your hair just get's used to it. i think that's right  anyway.
