Is it bad to use your PC while you're running a virus/spyware scan?

My advise is that you should allow the scan to run  and not use your PC for other activities while running.  This can cause a conflct while your antivirus or antispyware is searching your HDD, for viruses and spyware.

It's probably NOT a good idea... I do MY Scans when I'm Off-line, during meals...

not really, it just means that your scan might run a bit slower.

what i normally do is set it up and let that be the only running program on the computer  so it can go as fast as it can and then return every now and then to check it so i can get back on there and do what i need to do. it would only be bad if you were going on websites that were known for getting viruses from.
