Is it bad to want to live inside your head?

Not literally, of course.

Its not bad so much as it is limiting. Sometimes when we put on an intellectual front it limits our ability to feel.  I do it all the time but it sometimes costs me in my relationships when someone wants to share feelings with me.  Retreating to my head is safe but sometimes we have to risk in order to enjoy life.

I don't think it's bad to WANT to...I just think it's bad to actually do it. I think it's a defense mechanism. If you want to live inside your head it's probably because you're unhappy with the outside world...in which case, you'd probably consider changing it if at all possible.
