  1. You need water as hot as you can put your hands in (with gloves on) to kill bacteria and remove grease.

  2. All you are doing is saving energy. Most diswashing liquids are pretty effective at killing most household germs. Make sure you let the dishes air dry, though.

  3. YES THE WILL NOT BE SANITIZED.AND ALL OF THE GERMS ARE STILL THERE WHEN YOU ARE DONE AND THEY ARE SPREADING ONTO ALL THE OTHER DISHES.

  4. when you use cold water are the dish clean to u

  5. Only if it is fine china

  6. Not bad at all.  I do it all the time when I'm camping.

Hand washing dishes doesn't kill bacteria.  You can't get the water hot enough and still put your hands in it.  What it does do is wash off the food that bacteria grow on.  Clearly hot water would do that better (especially grease) but if you use soap then it just takes more scrubbing.

  7. Cold water does not cut the grease and grim on dishes, pots and pans like hot water does and even if you are using an antibacterial dish soap, washing in cold water will not kill all the germs and bacteria either and this is particularly important with items that have been in contact with raw meat, especially chicken.  Try wearing dish gloves to protect your hands from the hot water and if that does not work, rinse your dishes in a sink full of warm water with a 1/4 cup of bleach mixed in.  The bleach will work as a sanitizer - this is an old food industry trick that is still in use today.

  8. It is not any better to wash them in hot than cold water. SHort of boiling the dishes, you are not getting them any cleaner it is the bubbling up of the soap with your scrubbing action that gets them clean. Sort of like the difference of brushing your teeth with hot vs cold water. No difference. Just the scrubbing action. On the other hand, you can also opt to wear gloves over your hands when you wash the dishes.

  9. its not hte best... hot water works best because it gets grease, oil, and bacteria off easier!

    good luck
