Is it bad to wear fake leather??

I love my stylish faux leather sandals from Payless. But is wearing these sandals still promoting the look of leather, since you can't tell at first glance that the leather's fake? Or is it good to show companies that there is a market for faux leather shoes/clothing?

If you think that it isn't then it isn't.   Personally I do not wear fake leather, I wear real leather.

Companies are well aware that there is a demand for fake leather.  Not everyone can afford $500 Coach purses.

I say go ahead and wear them. The simple fact is that leather for shoes is not likely going to ever become uncool because there isn't a better product on the market. It's not like furs, which were mainly worn as a status symbol. Choose your battles wisely.

I see no harm in using fake leather shoes. I even have a fake leather purse, because I'm a mechanic and get my hands to dirty to use a canvas one. The fake stuff cleans up better.

Nope.  You wear them and be proud that you are not killing any animals by wearing them.  Faking it is great!!!  You go girl!

Faux is the way to go!!!!  As answered above its exactly the statement that you want to make.  Wear them proudly to show companies that your shoes look as good as any shoes that are made from an animals bum.  As for pleather ...same goes! (cheaper too!)
