Is it bad to wear makeup when you workout?

Hey just wondering

if you go for like a run and you are geting all sweatty gross i know but hey happens to everyone.

is it bad for you skin to wear like foundation and stuff?

will it give me any skin problems like acne or anything?

  1. It depends on your skin, if you suffer from acne regularly...then avoid it, stay fresh and clean.

    However, its not the worst thing in the world, but your make-up will run a bit when your sweating unless you have industrial make-up.

    I always wear make-up to the gym, as long as you clean your face before you sleep, there shouldn't be any skin problems. No one wants to look bad when they go to the gym, although if your getting sweaty enough then make-up is not going to make much of a difference.

    You could even use a light face tanning moisturiser to give the appearance of a healthy glow without actually wearing foundation, and it won't make you break out into lots of blemishes or anything.

    If your really worried use a tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation, it works just as good and not as harsh on the skin and won't block your pores as much as foundation can.

  3. Well, the only make-up you should wear is lip-gloss when you work-out. Yes it is bad for your skin to wear foundation and stuff when you work-out. You will get acne so I don't recommend it. Also the feeling is horrible, so trust me don't try it.

  4. I usually exersize at night after i take a shower or bath....but during the day if im on a bike or running...even walking..i wear makeup..and so far it doesnt make a difference just blot face with some tissue afterwards. or even some of those oil absorbing sheets

    Well when you work out after a while you start to sweat. Every time you sweat your pores open up so if your wearing makeup then it usually ends up clogging the pores along with the sweat and as a result you get a nice big spot!

    I used to wear makeup when I went to the gym but I always came up in little blackheads and zits so I stopped. I think its better if you wear as little of it as you can.

  6. Your pores open up allowing you to sweat so the sweat and the makeup could get into your pores and cause to break out.

  7. i don't think it should be too bad but

    you're going to be sweating so it will just run off

    make sure you wash your face right after you exercise or it will clog pores

    i would recommend not wearing make up just because its  waste of make up that will just be washed off, and you really don't need to put in the effort to look good while you're working out

  8. it's more comfortable to keep your face clean when you're working out. I like to wipe my face with a towel when I run on the treadmill so I don't wear any make up. I usually bring my "beauty bag" lol...when I go work out and do my make up after my workouts.

  9. It shouldn't give you problems if you wash your face of the sweat regularily. But your makeup will run, and you will be 'shiny'. So there really is no use in wearing it.
