  1. It's bad to straighten your hair everyday, even with heat protection. I'd suggest doing it every other day, and using a flat iron with ceramic plates.

  2. The exact same thing just happened to me. It's only been like 6 weeks since I straightened it last and it's already softer & with less split ends.

I think that the more you straighten it also it becomes harder to straighten in the future, so you have to straighten it more, which damages it more.

I'm only straightening mine once a week this year.

  3. No i actually just started straightening my hair everyday before school.  It takes awhile, but with heat protection you should be safe.  And im sure it wouldn't hurt to have a wet/dry straightener instead of one that only works for dry hair.

  4. i did that for 2 of high school and now my hair breaks, i have split ends, and its falling out like crazy.. to minimize damage i suggest using a 1 inch low heat straightner only once or twice a week. otherwise, embrace your natural hair texture! i have learned to love (and tame!) my curls. trust me, stop killing your hair before its too late.

  5. dont straighten it everyday,  just doing it 5 times a week instead of 7 makes a huge difference.  its good that you have a sheat protector.  Changing shampoo and conditioner helps too.

  6. It doesn't matter, straightening your hair everyday causes damage. It can cause hair loss at an early age, split ends, and premature graying.

  7. Ceramic is the best to use when straightening your hair, but you still should try not to straighten it every day. If you want to  make sure that your hair doesn't dry out, break off, or look dull, try using a leave in conditioner before you straighten you hair and/or a spray in conditioner after the straightening. Try one with vitamin e, as it is very good for the hair. Hope this helps.

  8. I used to straighten my hair everyday for school, and it seriously kills your hair.

  9. It's okay if you use heat protectants, but try not to use it every day. What I do is I straighten my hair one day, then the next day, i don't wash it. Your hair loses moisture if you wash it everyday, anyway(unless you have really greasy hair)

  10. Even with heat protection, it's not going to have your hair silky smooth the way you straighten your hair all day. I straighten my hair every other day. The other days, I enhance my waves.  I use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

  11. no i do that to my hair every day cuz even if i blow dry it it still has a wave in it  and my hair is soo not damaged

  12. well dont do it everyday do it like 3 times a week and the other weeks put it in a poney tail or something..but thats good your useing protection stuff..but make sure the heat on your hair straightner isnt too high and keep the straightner moving and it will be fine!

  13. heat protection is fine. try to avoid doing it every day though....try looking into new looks, like wavy or curly hair that you can do without a striaght /curling iron!!

  14. Yes..Even with heat protector...You know, It is alright to straighten your hair at night, and leave it in for a day or two..Just when you shower, Pull your hair back into a high bun, and do a retouch.
