Is it bad when the sun is?

okay! so wen i wake up, the sun comes right into my window. my blinds have a space between them, so the sun comes straight through and shines right into my eyes, when im sleeping and wen i wake up.

is it possible that the sun could be damaging my eyes even tho they are closed?

no, you should be fine.  As long as you are not in bright sunlight looking directly into the sun it is alright,
