  1. It's not an easy question to answer.  If you are interested in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, Biotechnology, etc. then these are fine options for you.  Clinical Medicine is an entirely different ball of wax.  You can obtain a medical degree and limit the scope of your work to research (as many MD, PhDs do in the US), and will not require post-graduate training in a given specialty.

I suppose it depends on whether your interests are research-oriented or clinically-oriented.  That'd serve as my basis for making such a decision.

    Best of luck.

  2. Yes. Medicine is a good field.  There will be a big need for people in all fields of medicine in the future as the population is aging and will require more care.  I think you will have good pay and lots of job security in the medical field.

  3. Yes medicine is well worth pursuing, doctors get paid a fortune (roughly £50k, $90k), also there is a world shortage of them meaning that once you qualify you can pretty much go and live in any county you likeand they will welcome you with open arms.

    Dont know about Biochem

  4. With the rising cost of malpractice insurance and less people with medical insurance I would pursue another field

  5. hey mate, there's always going to be a need for medical practitioners hey.....GP's & specialists, plenty of work....... and Biotech research?  they'll be (greater) opportunities there for sure, but fewer....... the real question is though what do you WANT to do?

Are you a 'people person' that would enjoy interacting with members of the community all day or would you prefer to be a in a lab with some colleagues doing research (a fair generalization to  be sure but you get where I'm headed)....

peace bro, good luck in your exams.
