Is it best to go on the London eye in the day or at night?

Try to go around sunset if you can, otherwise during the day (you can't see so much at night).

I've only been at night, so I can't really comment on what it's like during the day, but it's really pretty because Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral are all lit up and you can can get some really nice pictures. It's so pretty with all the coloured lights!

You can see a lot more during the day, but if you can go at sunset you can get some really lovely photos - and it's very romantic if you're going with your partner.

At night, you can see London lit up but the view isn't as good because you can't see as far.

I have been twice, once at night, once during the day.  The night time one was not very impressive and the day time one was spoiled by rain.  If I try it again I would try in bright sunlight during the day.
