  1. I have found Ebay is the cheapest.

  2. frontline is good, its expensive but its worth it, you can only get this from the vets, If your on a low income you can get it from the rspca hospitals for a much cheaper price.(uk)

  3. I use Frontline Plus & it is cheaper to get them here instead of the vet.

Advantage is also good. Never buy flea drops that are sold in grocery stores.

  4. Our vet prescribed 'Spot on' for our Jack Russell, which we found in Tesco at about a quarter of the price.  Works just as well and for just as long.

Having said that, we haven't found anything that works well for worming her apart from a visit to the vet and they seem to prescribe both together.

So, I would suggest that you try the 'Spot on' from the Supermarket (around £5 - £6 for three courses - and about £20 from the vet for the same thing), before you go to the vet for worming tablets.  Just make sure that you buy the right one - The one that we get is 'Puppy or small dog.'  But, please do remember that if you have a cat, this stuff is extremely poisonous to them!

  5. The vet is best, i used ones over the counter before and my dog started scratching again 2 days later.

It's cheaper to buy over the counter, but to give your dog/cat the best possible chance of getting rid of the buggers. the Vets always the best.

And they often sell them in packs of 6 & 12

    Hope i helped

  6. there are several different types of 'vet quality' flea treatments, the majority are only from the vets but you can ask your vet for a prescription, so you can buy them cheaper online. i use frontline myself, you can buy it from online canine chemists without needing to see the vet! see here..http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/HyperDrug/pro...

frontline does not need a prescription and i find it works brilliantly and its way cheaper than the vets who charge an extortionate amount!

don't buy 'supermarket quality' flea drops-they never work, and could make your dog ill!

  7. Frontline is the best and you can get it from most pet websites NOT JUST FROM THE VETS!!!!!!

I bought a pack of 6 pipets from www.petmeds.co.uk and it was half the amount you would pay at a vet. I will never get wormers or flea treatment from a vets ever again as it is soooooo expensive that way. Type in FRONTLINE and compare prices from all the pet medication web sites.

  8. Get yours online. Make sure it doesn't have heart worms or you could rally hurt your dog. Get it tested first, then get Revolution flea, tick, and heart worm preventative. You can order 6 for $60. It is about $14 from the vet. Frontline is a good product but doesn't prevent heart worm. I do not have fleas at all and I have 6 animals. Online doesn't require a prescription because you order from different country that doesn't require it. The ones from the pet stores and grocery stores do not work very good.

  9. Over the counter medications aren't usually as effective as those from the vet who will also give you instructions on their correct usage.

It's often cheaper in the long run to get flea & worm medication from the vet - because it works first time!
