Question:

Is it best to make the 40K models before painting?

Pardon if this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if there were any problems I am not considering in painting my models before I put them together.

I understand that it will cause me to use more paint, but on the upside, wouldn't I have an easier time reaching all the parts of the model and making sure everything is painted?

Thanks!

  1. I find it so much easier to paint my models while still on the tree because I won't have to worry about fingerprints on the parts, less chance of loosing something and finally alot of fine detail work can be done while it's still mounted to something. Afterward all you need to do is

    1)snip it off the tree

    2)trim and sand the flash

3)glue together, do any filling and puttying

4)use touch up paint on the seams
